[DML] Re: DeLorean Economic Conditions

But DMCH has a few things going like holding all the chips(ie:owning
the lions share of the nos parts supply)and coming about, around the
same time as the cars were aging...needing those nos parts,by
holding onto the lions share of NOS parts,by default..they became
the "crown jewel" of the Dmc parts supply/market..all bow to the
almighty king supplier..just kidding..If not for them who knows what
would have happened to that big stash of DMC parts..they *could*
have been sold for the metal value(scrap)Or as what happened to the
stash of Bricklin Nos parts,(from the same holding company)they were
sold to the Bricklin B_y's and all they are doing is slowly selling
them on Ebay...unlike DMCH which went full bore into the Delorean
business and not only are they professionally storing them, but have
a full on going business devoted to restoring and presevering and
making it even better than orignal..and even making the car again.
But If a all new(2008) Delorean was put out today(in great numbers/
production) it would have to have at LEAST(bottom line)450HP to even
compete with what the big three have(Corvette/Shelby
Mustang/GT40/Viper..not counting the overseas market.DMCH is doing
it right maybe 1 car a month..see how the market bears out..if not 1
every few months etc,as the order(s) come in.This way if it bears
fruit great,if not no big loss, unlike JZD.Hopefully by the end of
2010 there will be at least a couple dozen all NEW Deloreans added
to the vin list.
