RE: [DML] Re: WANTED: Angle Drive

Elvis, I know it seems that way.
However, the last few to break failed right out of the driveway.
Zero miles.
I installed a new angle drive, backed out of the driveway, and it broke.

I explained that I used a high speed drill and attached it to the lower cable and ran it
at full speed in both directions and it worked fine and smooth with no kinks or snags.
It ran smoothly without any resistance.

The angle drive however was locked up and would not spin.

So you tell me dude, what could the problem be?

ROFLwasn't it you who disconnected the idle speed motor connector instead of fixing the little problem ????Are you guys all bored or why is my mailbox stuffedwith angle drive mails instead of somebody really working on it ? Little less conversation, a little more action...And why does mine work even though I have an original one and the cable is wound like it always was ?because I give it some drops of oil once or twice a yearand I check if everything runs smoothly without too much force needed ?if one breaks - stuff happens.if two break - well, still could be wrong.if three break - one should start thinking...if four break - it's not the angle drive's fault!we once had one failing because the new speedo wire was toolong or didn't slip into the angle drive or lambda countercorrectly. We could hear it by turning the wheel by hand, that something was wrong.I bet it's something simple...Elvis & 6548 -> more than 30k miles on the angle drive since I've owned the car !> > I have been using a Garmin StreetPilot, sitting behind the binnacle, as a Spedometer while my> angle drive is down. This is cool because I have a neat looking color GPS but I am not counting miles.> I just want things to work!> - VB>
