[DML] Re: Shifter Lights LED conversion?

Hi Jack,

I have made the conversion to LEDs for the selector plate. Contrary to
an ordinary bulb, a LED has no "spread". This makes for a very hi-
lighted "Drive" position (where the socket for the illumination is) and
almost fainted for the other shift positions.
Unless you are going to make the light follow the stick (for the mark)
and use a second row of LEDs beneath the positions (for lighting the
position characters) it is not an improvement IMO.
I still am considering a better alternative, but have not yet come up
with it.
