Did you know that mineral oil is the primary product in stainless kitchen
equipment cleaning and keeping it looking good. Yes mineral spirit is great
for cleaning stainless off also.

You can try mineral spirits.  That usually takes anything off of the
stainless, (just keep it away from plastic, rubber and paint).  I've used it
myself and it does the job getting off road tar.  I'm sure waterspots will
be no match for it.
