Yes, it seems obvious.  However, during the first half of the Twentith century 
many vehicals were positive ground. Remember this is a British engineered
 product.Not all of the cars have warning stickers say "Negative Ground" .  
Many early cars say "Negative Earth"  this would be a British term used. 
Ground is the American term.
