RE: [DML] speedometer

If the cap is good, be sure to change out the lower cable for the shorter
version and lubricate very little with an 80 weight oil. The more oil you
add the harder it is to turn the cable and oil attracts dust and dirt
faster.

Take off the left front wheel and inspect the dust cover. If the opening is
not perfectly square that the cable fits into, replace it. Turn the cable
and have a friend see if the speedometer moves. If it does, you probably
only need a dust shield. Call Warren at DMC Texas, he will fix you up. Rod

working. I suspect either the angle drive
or lower cable. Is there a way to test to see which one? Or am I better
off just to go ahead and replace them both. I know of course it could
be upper cable or even the speedometer it self. I am looking for advise
here.
