Re: [DML] Houston Open House

The DMC Houston Open House this year was absolutely fantastic. We
were one of the 150 lucky people who were able to attend.

The Highlight of the show was Smokey Unik's "hot vapor" engine from the
early 1980's.
This 3 cylinder engine put out close to 300 HP and got close to 50 mpg.

It was fantastic to see and here this engine actually run.

DMC Houston has some very interesting R&D going on. We hope to see
this at DCS 08.!!!!

In addition, we got to spend considerable time talking to Barry Wills
about what happened to DMC and the politics of Margaret Thatcher. She
clearly made the decision to make sure DMC did not get refinanced, even
though the deal had already been arranged. The only issue left was
the "fee" for refinancing.

There were two other big questions "who at the Bank of America made the
decision to cut DMC line of credit, even when the company was still
operating? and why?" No explanation was ever given.

The other big question is who (and why) "authorized the FBI to set up a
'sting' against ONE INDIVIDUAL?- John DeLoren?"

This was not an organized crime sting, or a fencing operation sting,
this was solely directed at ONE INDIVIDUAL.

Steven, James, Dave, Tony, Don, etc. all should be thanked for the
great show and technical information.

At the time when Detroit is losing market share, DMC is growing!!!

PS. Oh, Yes, in case you forgot, Why the hell isn't Detroit using
Smokey's engine design? It would cut our fuel usage by 50%. ???
