I'm sure that the car featured in this article and the car you mention 
are one and the same.  Jim Strickland was the name of the guy 
responsible, and he lived in South Florida somewhere, don't remember 
exactly where.  Jim was very active on the DMCForum Yahoo Group back in 
2004 and 2005.

I have email records confirming that he had this car in its finished 
form in early 2004, but I'm pretty sure that he'd had it quite a bit 
before then too, possibly as early as 2002.

Was the car you saw at The Jag Shop painted black?  If so, it was 
definitely the same car.

According to my records, Jim sold the rotary DeLorean sometime around 
July of 2004 to someone in Carrollton, TX.  I don't know where it's been 
since then.
