Re: [DML] DMCH performance exhaust (and other stuff)

When this exhaust was announced by DMCH, I asked myself, "Why didn't
they make it stainless?" And now, years later after hearing all of
this, I'm asking myself, "Why didn't they make it stainless?" One of
the car's pinnacle features is the stainless steel body panels.
Couple that with the fact that it's old and well known in the
automotive industry to build exhausts out of stainless steel, as well
as the fact that DeLorean owners seem to have a physics-defying
"magnetic" attraction to stainless accessories (door sills, bumper
lettering, gear shift knobs, coolant tanks, etc) for our car, and it
will become apparent that anyone looking to upgrade their stock
exhaust would rather it be stainless steel.

Yes, it would cost more, but who can afford the car for $42,500 and
not $2,000 for performance exhaust? I would have paid for it, I'm
going to buy either the UK exhaust or John Hervey's stainless exhaust
(when he sells it).

Now there are no more (or rather, very few) headlight switches,
dashes, binnacles, escutcheons, round steering rack brackets, upper
control arm bushings, frames, driver side torsion bars, left front
fenders, lower control arms, and lots of other things. Instead of
making new ones, they were selling wine and building an extravagant
"show car."

I appreciate that DMCH is there for us owners, but I really wonder who
the hell is making the decisions sometimes.
