[DML] Re: Strange Relay Pictures



The black relay is NOT factory. It does not have a plug, each wire is
individually connected by squeeze-on connectors. I have no idea what
it is used for. I have seen a lot of weird things added to cars. Maybe
it is part of a Burglar Alarm and it is an ignition cut-out? If you
don't know what it does the "best" thing is to try to remove it. Just
taking it out may disable some function so you have to try to restore
the wiring to the way it is supposed to be.
The silver relay IS factory and is the ballast bypass. Active only
during cranking.
