[DML] door latch

  Hi Rob-
Sounds like your old latch may need lubing or is so beat it's not shaped right anymore. The latches themselves have no adjustable parts, just the linkrods which activate them. The other possibility is that your striker bolt is way out of whack. Be sure to follow the directions concerning not locking the doors with them open unless you move the latches into the locked position. The directions don't say it, but it's easier to do if you lift up on the door handle when locking the latches. The latch modification I'm referring to can only be done on a latch when it's been removed from a door. Better to get your linkrods adjusted first. I have the whole procedure written out in detail on my home computer, but I'm away from home until Tuesday.
