RE: [DML] Tail Lights

Geoff, I haven't found any chemical product that will clean off all the
oxidation on the boards but, I do solder the connections to burn the bulbs
brighter and I clean the boards as much as possible and then spray with a
clear lacquer to weatherproof them. $17.50 ea. Then they will last another
20 years. Look at the bottom of my electrical page.

Subject: [DML] Tail Lights

Greetings,

I recently noticed that one of my brake lights was out. Last night I
found that the electrical connector clipped into the tail light board
wasn't making clean contact. I cleaned off the board and the connector
(which helped), but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a cleaner that I
can use to dissolve any remaining grit/oxidation/etc.

Also, I noticed that the tail lights seem a bit dim. Has anyone
installed a replacement LED bulb that would brighten things up a bit?
If so, can you tell me where you bought it, and its make/model number.

Finally, while my lens was out, I noticed a small sticker labeled
"ERM" affixed to the panel behind the tail light. Were any parts on
the production cars made from ERM?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
