[DML] Re: Speedo Cable



I worked on one car that ate angle drives, dust caps, and speedo
cables. First make sure that you have the lower support bracket and it
isn't broken. Make sure the dust cap doesn't slip. Wrap it with
electrical tape on the edge if you have to. Lubricate the angle drive.
If you still have trouble then pull the speedometer head. Sometimes a
plastic post inside breaks off and the metal clip that is still
attached to the post will get stuck on the spinning magnet of the
speedometer jamming things up until something like a speedo cable or
angle drive gives up. Very doubtful there is any problem with the
Lambda counter.
