Your problems can be described in 2 words

                     VACUUM LEAKS

This is the biggest and most common cause of engine quality
complaints. There are so many potential places for vacuum to leak and
you have to check and fix them ALL.
Other less likely and more unusual possabilities are:
Mechanical and/or vacuum advance
Fuel quality and contamination
Ignition parts breaking down under load (old, worn out)
Mixture out-of-adjustment
Lambda not functioning or not functioning correctly

Listen for the frequency valve to buzz when the motor is running. If
it isn't you may have found one of your problems.
