Re: [DML] Seeking DeLorean $10,000 range

When I was 14, I was actually calling and negotiating with a guy to buy his.
He got down to $11,000. Needless to say, my parents were hesitant to advance
me money for a sports car when I couldn't drive yet. This was 21 years ago.
I now have a wife, a child, and a mortgage payment, and I plan on a Delorean
by the time I'm 40. I finally determined that trying to own/repair/maintain
a Delorean before you have a house, a stable/significant income, a reliable
car that you can drive back and forth to work during the week, and room to
store it is the way to go. I thought it would be the end of the world if I
didn't acquire one in high school. I ended up getting an '89 Chrysler
Lebaron convertible, which a had a blast in with my friends, was inexpensive
to maintain, and was easily serviceable at the nearest dealership 5 minutes
away. Theres a reason why muscle cars from the '60s are getting insane
prices now, babyboomers who couldn't afford there dream car back then, have
the money now. It's not about when you own it, it's just about owning it at
some point.
