[DML] Re: Electrical problem

You developed a short in the console area, smoke is not good,
especially with electrical systems, if it comes out it doesn't work
anymore.

You will have to pull the console out to find where the short is, if
the radio fuses (there are 2) didn't blow the short is upstream from
them. More than likely a wire has been compromised and cut, and now
is going direct to ground.

So pull the console, and check the wiring for cuts and burned bits.
You'll probably find the problem as you remove the console. Have a
wiring diagram handy, and let us know what you find.
