[DML] Re: Transmission Shaft Nut Hole

Well I'm becoming restless at night because my daily driver has the 5th gear
grind and I just flipped my 1st 100,000 miles two weeks ago. Tightening that nut
has just been put on my soon to be done "to do" list.

It's a large nut and the shaft has a flat that it supposed to have the
flange of the nut tapped into it. I guess they forgot to do it at the
(Renault) factory.

Let's be clear here - it's a known, but very rare problem - probably
similar statistics to drivers side torsion bar failures I'd reckon. And
none of us really lose any sleep over them do we?
