Which one from the 3M line did you use? I've had good luck with 3M Super 
Weather Strip Adhesive (black). If you follow the directions and make sure 
the surfaces are nice and clean, it holds up well to the pressure the doors 
exert on the strips. Just make sure to avoid the more common yellow and 
non-super adhesive.
