John,

The door locking system on our cars is terrible in it's stock form. In
my experience, these problems are only the beginning. Your problems
could be the lock solenoids, the lock module & relays, the mechanism
inside the doors, or - most likely - a combination of all three.

I highly suggest the "Door Lock Combo Kit" Toby Peterson recommended.
Remember, the equipment in your car is 25 years old, and on top of
that the door lock system was known to be problematic from the start.
Replace it all and you shouldn't have to touch it again for many years
to come.
