[DML] EFI conversion

Off the back of Nick's post, I thought I'd mention that we now have an
ECU that's been set up to accept the DeLorean distributor signal and
mappable for both fuel and ignition on our odd-fire lumps (that doesn't
cost the earth). We already have a considerably simplified intake
manifold that is a single unit that holds injectors, rails, knock
sensor, throttle body, MAT sensor and throttle spool that bolts right up
to the DeLorean heads. All that's required is the old injector ports be
capped off. Time's getting seriously tight but hoping to have a full
Stage II with EFI for Eurofest - christened by one of our customers "EFIII"

This setup has been designed to daisy-chain into the distributor pickup
and drive the stock amplifier (keeping rev counter, coil, rpm relay and
idlespeed system untouched), and apart from a bit of wiring, new lambda
sensor, two fuel hoses and all the vaccum feeds to the brake servo, mode
switch and charcoal cannister, this is simply a drop-in replacement for
the stock intake manifold. Ideal for any turbo owners to *finally* set
everything up with no mickey-mouse fuelling and ignition hacks :-) And
we already know from our stage I how much you can gain just from a
different ignition curve. The real beauty is the ECU is adaptive and
will write its own map as you drive. The only downside is that the top
of the engine will look very different.

Sounds too good to be true? Watch this space :-)
