Rick - Based on where the work was done to the car, I would check, 
clean, and tighten the ground location that is just above the steering 
rack, common to the left hand radiator support member.  It would have 
been easy to disturb this vital electrical ground to the frame, which 
could very easily result in the symptoms that you are reporting.
