[DML] Re: Steering wheel removal

Sometimes you gotta think outside the box. Drill the holes out larger
and tap them to 5/16". That size will be in the puller and has enough
meat on the threads to do the job. The holes are only there for a
puller, why live with that unobtainable-in-long-screw size?

The first time I did this I went out of my way to get a long threaded
rod the right size (8mm?) for the factory holes in the wheel. And
promptly pulled the screws right out of the wheel. I think some PO
had put the wheel on the car with loctite.
