[DML] Thermister wiring polarity?

No joke, a rat ate through the wires leading to the idle speed thermistor in
the coolant Y pipe. (the car sat untouched for 12 years or so) I have gotten
a pristine plug from the salvage yard and nicely spliced it on to the
original wiring. A buddy who is an electronics engineer assures me that the
thing is not polarity sensitive - just run one wire to each pole and your
fine - anyone know any differently before the intake goes back on?
