Re: [DML] 3.8 liter GM engines



I think I have figured out that the common confusion about a "Ford V8" was 
caused by DeTomaso's use of a Ford V8 in the Pantera, an exotic italian 
import of which they made less than 10,000
and had rather slow sales and was dropped as some what of a "failure".
The car had a reputation for being too expensive and was scoffed at for 
being an Italian exotic
with an American Ford engine rather than a Ferrari, BMW or other european 
engine.
I have always wanted a Pantera and may get one someday....
