RE: [DML] Recurring offer on eBay

I had a number of emails back and forth with this guy when he first started
listing it. At that time he was asking $9,500 which I promised him he would
never get. He doesn't seem to understand that his car is worth maybe half
that as he wrote that the stainless panels are worth $10,000 by themselves.
I've lost the pics he sent, but I believe the engine needs a top rebuild,
plus lots of other items (louvers, windshield, fascias, etc.). I asked for
frame pics but never received them. His earlier pictures also showed the
interior was "redone" in some fashion but not as one would expect in a
DeLorean. Also, I think the mileage is way past the implied 26,000.
I think it would be a great $5,000 project car, but good luck getting him
down that far.

I keep a record of all of the Ds sold on eBay, and this one has appeared at
least once a month for the last four months. Has anyone on the list seen
this in person? I would not pay $8K for something so questionable, but I
think it has potential if the seller would lower his asking price. I just
wonder why he can't even sell it after all this time.
