Just pull them apart. You're pulling the glass rather than flexing it 
and it's unlikely to break with that force applied. They fairly often 
come adrift on their own, so with a bit of applied force, they come 
apart quite easily, unless of course someone's already re-glued it....

(wrote that bit before Rob's post - I always handle dropping glass so 
carefully because in my experience they can come apart so easily. Maybe 
I need to do a few more windows!)
