[DML] Re: Sealing transmission

The Permatex will be fine. You can use it anywhere and everywhere. Do
not use or make gaskets between the case halves. The clearances are
set up to be without the thickness of a gasket. Just make sure on the
tube it says "Sensor Safe". The Hylomar is what is recommended but I
found it does not seal well. It never dries hard but the gear oil does
seem to leak through it. Silicone has always worked for me. Just be
sure that the sealing surfaces are flat, clean, and smooth.
