RE: [DML] Engine won't start

Dave,
Just my little bit. No spark could be a lot of things from ECU not being
plugged in to loose wires and so on. Even thought the book say's 1000 ohms.
All the ones I have seen are about 600 +/- 5% ohms room temp and goes up to
about 700+ heated. As long as you have continuity, it's ok.
Jumper the fuel pump 87/30 and try again. un plug the cold start as to not
keep on spraying fuel. If you have a low voltage on the blue yellow wire on
the left side of the resistor when trying to start, say 6 to 8 volts then it
most likely won't start. needs to be 9 to 10.5 depending on the starter and
coil condition.
If the fuel pump is running, then push down on the Air flow meter plate just
a tad to put some fuel in the cylinder and with the 9+ volts on the coil it
should start unless the cylinders are washed with gas.

Subject: [DML] Engine won't start

History:
Engine was running rough, unable to set CO

Repair:
Fuel pump wiring cracked and connector badly corroded. Replaced connector
and replaced section of wiring harness. Engine started and performance was
improved.
