I guess I can't really comment as I have never had a front license plate 
since the car was new!!   Little town and no problems I guess.   The only 
restriction might be if your plate were "glued solid" over the radiator...if 
it is out a ways from it there will be no overheating problem unless maybe 
for some reason your heating is borderline anyway.  Lots of Pickup campers 
have the entire spare wheel/tire mounted out front and lots of bikes, wheel 
chairs etc mounted that way.
