[DML] Just installed new water pump

I just finished installing a new water pump, wow what a pain in the
rear end. It took me three full days. I ended up breaking two of the
intake manifold bolts, it took me two days just to remove them. I
tried using an easy out but broke the easy out so I had to drill
through the easy out. After two days and 14 drill bits later I finaly
got those suckers out. One of the vacuum lines coming out of the
pontoon came loose so I had to pull off the cover to the charcoal
canister. While I was in there I noticed something strange. The large
hose coming off the top of the canister had a bolt stuck in it to plug
the line up. Does any one know what this line goes to and why would it
have been disconnected in the first place?
