Re: [DML] How many Island Turbos

Bob:

If you are taking a census Vin # 17043 has a very early orginal twin island turbo set up.

And I very much enjoyed meeting and talking with the designer John Conway at the social and having him test drive my car. John informed me that 170 MPH speedometer in my car was part of the offered turbo package...I had always thought it was a just stock Delorean speedometer.

It is a unfortunate that the service and support for these systems has declined, perhaps the Association can play a role in restoring it.

At the spring social, Kevin had one of the designers and installers
from Island Turbo give a presentation.

THe most interesting statement was that he figured that they had
installed the dual turbo set up in at least 150 to 200 cars. He
substantiated this count.
