Thanks Jake, you're right before I got your response
back I went ahead and tackled the reverse problem and
was not only able to get access to the shift cross
gate linkage but was able to adjust and lube
everything!  Thanks for you great info, and I hope
someone else might be able to use it too!

Now I'm tackling a blown exhaust donut gaskett, and
that ain't as simple!
