Yes, clean also the other wires called +12V !

Ground is just 50% of it. start with the alternator connection,
starter, electronic-box in the engine compartment - where the 
+12V are fed thru the fire-wall to the relay compartment.
then of course replace all the oxidised fuses, don't forget
to clean the battery connections....

I am not sure at the moment if the jump start post feeds the +12V 
thru the pontoon into the car, too. 
Make sure all of them are clean and tight.
