What I meant was perhaps he showed an onlooker how he wired up his alarm 
system.  He noted that the wiring for it was wrecked in the fuse box area and the horns were disconnected.

Something like that I would avoid showing a random person.  Anything 
else that has to do with the car itself is AOK.  

I didn't mean to make it sound the way you read it.
