Re: High Mileage

Johnny,

I own a high milage D and drive it daily. I bought it in Feb of
2002 (I'm the 4th owner) with about 86K on it, that's assuming the
angle drive never broke. In June of 02 I drove it from So. Cal to
Memphis for the DCS, got furthest traveled too! I now have around
125-130K on it, the angle drive did break in me, d'oh! In the time
I've owned it, all I've done to the engine other than oil changes is
a "30K tune-up" at 100K, a starter (thanks to a broken spring in the
ign. switch), and a custom exhaust system (which gave me almost half
of the allowed emissions!). Non-engine stuff includes a fuel pump,
A/C comp, and other little misc. items, after all the car is 22
years old. Oh, I forgot to mention that I now like in Phoenix and
it handled 120 degree weather with the A/C on no problem!
Any question? hehe
