Throttle Linkage Cable Troubles

Hey everyone,

As I was leaving work yesterday my throttle linkage
cable snapped. I had it taken out and lubricated last
winter due to water freezing in the line. Then, last
summer, the cable snapped and I had it replaced. So
now I'm onto my third cable... 

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this
problem. Are there any points where this line has a
tendency to break and if so why? Thanks.
