Re: [DML] "Chirping" sound

I had a similar thing on my car. I let it go for a few months and it gradually worsened. Turned out to be a CV joint... its in the shop now in fact getting repaired. My mechanic wants to put a new joint on and replace all my old boots with Audi boots. The 16 hex bolts would all be replacd by alan head bolts to fit the boots properly. Anyone heard of this? What do you think I should do?

Anway, you should have a relable mechanic take a look at your car soon!
I also had a loose TA bolt which was causing some clunking and possible other noises as well.

I've had an annoying "chirping" sound coming from (I think) one of my wheels for awhile now, one of the rear ones I believe. It only develops after driving for awhile but it goes away when I break. Any idea on what this could be? A bearing? Something wrong with my breaks?

Thanks for any help,
