I have a friend who took their car to a party one night, and they parked
far away in a lot partially hidden and still someone decided to trhow
rocks at it. It ended up leaving two fairly good sized dents, one on the
hood and the other between the windshield nad drivers side window (that
small strip of metal between the two). 
As for my own experience, I took the car to Prom and left the car in a
parking structure. When we left the Prom, someone decided to stick their
gum on the drivers door roof. Of course the joke was on them as I had
polished the car with the SS polish, so the gum was easily 'flicked' off
the car. Still, somepeople have no respect for other peoples property. 
Other than the above mentioned, I have never had a problem, not even
finger prints (I usually end up parking in the sun :)
