Re: [DML] lowering

Someone told me to cut 3.5 coils out of the rear springs and put them in the front and put the stock front springs in the back. Apparently this works but it is really bad for the suspension because you can't adjust the rear..."camber" I think is the word he used. So it is not a great option. Some of the other companies have adjustable rear suspension components that you can buy, they were on display at the St.Louis 1999 convention. Also, PJ Grady has shorter front springs that lower the front about 1.5 inches.

Robert/ list,

My suspension expert was "horrified" by the thought of cutting
springs..don't do it..live with what you have got or get a proper handling
kit....Just my 2 pence worth.

> I was reading an old issue of DOA and ran accross a Tech Tip about lowering the D by cutting 3 1/2 coils from the springs...Is this a good practice? Do not sound like anything I would be willing to try without consulting the experts...so what do you guys think? > Bob > Vin: 5947 > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > > Before posting messages or replies, see the posting policy rules at: > www.dmcnews.com/Admin/rules.html > > To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: > moderator@xxxx >
