Yes Archie, you have discovered one of the many items that were left out of
the workshop manual. Fortunately this is a simple step.
Remove all of the bolts that connect the intimidate drive shaft (parts
manual 4/7/0 #3) from the transmission driveshaft flange (#2). Once
disconnected use bailing wire or cord to tie both driveshafts up and away
from the transmission.

One other note: You will need to jack up the engine appox. 1 1/2 inches to
access the bolts that attach the flywheel protector plate to (parts manual
4/1/1#16) the lower section from the bell housing.
