[DML] Re: euro tail lights

The actual lights are made by "Rubberlite" in England, they are still
available and used mostly on commercial vehicles, one problem would be
making the alloy mounting plate and especially the black fibre glass
surround..these were a bit crude and obviously used some kind of mould..they
are all the same...you would need to borrow an original set to make a mould
from..and regrettably, no you can't borrow mine! no offence..but ive seen
what a mess it can make of the originals. For any body that's interested,
they lights and housings were supplied to "Wooler Hodec" ( who did most of
the RHD work) by a chap called Mr. Jerry Castle, who worked for
Delorean........During my researches, I contacted his wife about a month
ago, only to be told he had died 3 days before.
On behalf of us De Lorean fans, I passed on our condolences.
Sorry to end on such a sat note, but it shows the importance or getting as
much information recorded as possible from people who were involved in the
70's and 80's...non of us go on forever.
