[DML] Re: Doors hitting T-Panel

Your problem is not the door; it is the T panel. When you car was assembled
at the factory two large foam strips were installed between the roof support
and T panel to help support the T panel. Over the years the foam strips have
rotted allowing the panel to drop causing the door edge to contact the panel
when it is in the full open position. The strips are not listed in the parts
manual, we use 1/2 inch rubber weather stripping available from most
hardware stores.

If you need more information on this subject you may contact us directly.
