DMC Joe and everyone else:

Thanks for all of the responses. Here is some more information. The 
headlights I bought were two (2) filiment bulbs (80/100 watt). (the same 
wattage as the lights that DMC Houston sells in their upgrades and they do 
not have any problems with the ground) I had considered the possibility of 
the insufficient ground after posting my message. But, for this to be the 
case wouldn't that mean that there is less resistance for the current to 
flow through both filiments of the outboard lights and through the high 
beams than a direct line to the ground? Also, I don't understand about the 
filiments possibly being backwards. This would make sense on one hand but 
not on the other. One, because when I turn the high beams on the inner high 
beams light like normal, but the outboard one actually get dimmer. However, 
this still doesn't explain why the high beams would light when I turn on the 
lows. Additionally, I tried it with only one new headlight. Even with just 
one new headlight (either with the other side original or empty), it still 
made the high beams light. I hope this extra info. helps to resolve this. 
Any more help is still appreciated. If anyone needs more info. please ask
