Don't stop now! go ahead and finish up your project. It's not the number interested right now that counts, it's your work that matters. Don't let any one crush your efforts not DMC Houston or me or any one.

As an example, I started making DeLorean keys just for my self and a few friends a year or so ago, to date I have sold over 600 keys yet I never had more than 3 or 4 orders at any given time. The keys are strictly Kitchen table engineering to be sure. I do it for fun and I can't stand the Idea of some one charging $75 a key for "True OEM KEYS" what a rip off!

The problems that surfaced were always there and really had nothing to do with you or
your dome light. There was no confusion and don't kid your self about plastic...
it just as good as glass. There are several price list drifting around and each DMC supplier has their own prices.

Another example of Great Kitchen table engineering - "Angle-drive boot"

As most List members know I claim the all time champion of angle drive busters.

I am now on number 6 angle drive I have ruined and come up with ideas about angle
drives. Currently I am working on the last item I happen to think will cure the angle drive problem. It is a molded rubber boot with two hose clamps that helps stabile the angle drive and seals it from water intrusion. This is for sure kitchen table engineering, and yes I know that some one had done something similar, but then doing this sort of thing is for fun
and discovery, if others want to try out your solution for something, well that's their choice.
My Angle drive boot, your dome lite, stainless braided break lines....it's all the same, it
part of the pleasure of ownership.

reply:

Nothing at all, My D is the same a pastime and nothing more. Yes it is my daily driver, and yes it is the only car I happen to own at the moment but my spending for it are an a budget.
First I worry about safety, and dividable, cosmetics come later. If you find a proper functioning item that is indistinguishable from and OEM item, use it!

reply:

You have contributed and I would hope that you continue to do so. There is no
confusion about your efforts and those at DMC Houston. No DeLorean owner could ask for better service than comes from Steve, I have never even heard a negative story about
him or his efforts.
