I have a little problem with my windshield
washer fluid reservoir. If I try to screw the cap onto the reservoir,it
freespins (threads striped). I have screwed other DeLorean caps on and
they also freespin. When I have screwed my cap onto another DeLorean,the
cap screws on tight. Therefore, the threads of the reservoir
are where the damage exists. I have temporarily placed a gasket
in-between the cap and the reservoir which has helped a little, but it still
leaks when I take turns and the fluid sloshes around.
The question is: Is there anothercap
that I can maybe use that might seal better that the original. Maybe a cap
that has more thread engagement or something. I really dread having to
replace the entire reservoir for such a stupid "little" problem, but when Itake
trips, I am tired of ringing washer fluid out of my clothes.
