[DML] Re: Modified Wiring

Gus,
The Fanzilla is the best solution to the shortcomings of the original
design, however, the duel circuit breaker / relay set up is also very good.
Prior to the introduction of the Fanzilla this was the modification of
choice.

Check all the wiring to these added components, if everything looks OK
you're better off just leaving it alone. Re wiring the electrical
compartment back to the factory original just to accommodate the Fanzilla
could be very labor intensive if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

If you decide to sell your Fanzilla we would be glad to place it on in the
classified section of our web-site free of charge.

I decided to make the most of holiday weekend and work on my Delorean.
Specifically, I went to install the Fanzilla I bought so long ago and
procrastinated about.

But whoops! It didn't work, and after some troubleshooting I discovered
that the original owner had rewired the cooling fans to each have their own
circuit breaker and relay (the fan relay and fan fail relay were
converted).
It's a nice solution, considering.

So, does anyone think I should tamper with a working system just to get it
back to factory spec? And if not, does anybody out there need a Fanzilla?
:-)
