[DML] aligning window seal

I am having a problem aligning my power window wipe seal. When the 
window is up the rear of the seal fits really snug to the window 
while the front of the seal towards the arch of the guide channel 
barely makes contact with the window. It is like this for both doors. 
The seals are correctly installed on the door so no human error here. 
so what is it? I was thinking that the windows themselves may be 
improperly alligned. How much of a gap is there between the metal 
guide channel and the stainlees lip of the door? I'm hoping I don't 
have to re-set the window but it is better than having a leaking car.
