Just for the record, I am pretty sure you are referring to "Consumer's 
Guide", not "Consumer Reports".  The confusion is common and 
deliberate. Consumer Reports is a highly reputable (although not 
unbiased) non-profit organization. Consumer's Guide is a good step down 
the food chain, and markets itself to a significant extent by apeing 
the name and look of Consumer Reports.

That said, some of their automotive publications are pretty useful as 
reference guides to collector cars, and are often found very cheaply on 
remainder piles in bookstores.
