Hi Henry,

  I've been looking for the same thing for a few years .. And I've
basically decided to go with the "DoublePark" 4 post lift; for the same
reasons you state.  Mostly for "storage" but for the occasional use as
service lift, plus you can put "skates" on them to move the whole car
while on the lift.

I'd stay away from the 2 post system, for extended .. Since those lift
by the body, not the wheels .. I don't trust the 10 bolts that hold the
body to the frame for that much...
