[DML] hydraulic clutch will not go in gear

What are my first steps? The car has about 800 miles on it, took a small
ride this Saturday and upon arrival I backed in a space and the gears ground
as I went in reverse. Came out jumped in the car started up, but the gear
shift would not go in gear and the pedal seemed too easy to push. Turn off
the car and shifting is easy. Drove home in 2nd gear, press the pedal and
the car is unpowered but grinds the gear if you try to change the gear.
Is the brake and clutch system the same system? Can this be converted to DOT
5? I have a powered bleeder; I know that if I bleed the old way all the
cylinders will soon fail. What is the least I can do, and what is a wish
list? ex. rebuild system with brass sleeved parts.
Thanks,
Charles
